Circuit de la Minardière
Welcome to the charming village of Billy, anchored in the landscape unit of the "Grande Sologne", a "green and blue" area, for this hike where natural heritage and solognot soil are combined for the pleasure of the walkers.
The flat itinerary alternates between wooded areas and wet moors, agricultural and wine growing areas.
The important network of ponds and pools offers a refuge for a very rare species of dragonfly: the "leucorrhinia caudalis", almost extinct at the beginning of 2000.
Billy is a vineyard and goat breeding area, and is part of the production area of the A.O.P. "selles-sur-cher", a goat cheese made from raw milk with a pebble-like appearance, round and ashy.
Goat lovers will be able to visit farms and taste local products, thanks to the presence of three goat farms and cheese dairies located in the area.
In Billy, discover the Saint-Symphorien church, whose western facade has six small religious figures sculpted under arcatures.
