The town?s garden-city atmosphere is due to the fact that a large part of its gardens overlook one of the many arms of the Loir, which is omnipresent in the town. The former enclosures of the religious congregations, preserved since the 17th century, provide the backdrop for the town's 4-flower national award. The Office de Tourisme de Vendôme - Territoires Vendômois invites you to discover the gardens of Vendôme via a free smartphone application: Wivisites. Bonus: an audio version for visually impaired visitors, available in 3 foreign languages: English, German and Dutch. The application works like a tour guide.
