This mountain bike route links Sargé-sur-Braye to Mondoubleau, crossing a mosaic of fields, forests and typical hamlets. It offers a wide variety of terrain, from farm tracks to wooded paths, for an immersion in nature and rural heritage.
Start your tour in Mondoubleau, a charming medieval town with a rich history. Every stone here tells a story: the feudal fortress built of roussard stone, the imposing tower, the half-timbered Governor?s house, or the surprising twisted bridge, a true architectural curiosity.
Following the Grenne valley, you reach Sargé-sur-Braye. This village is home to the Espace Naturel Sensible de la Carrière de la Mutte, the Musée du Roussard, the Château des Radrets and two remarkable churches: Saint-Martin and Saint-Cyr. The black Eiffel bridge over the Braye bears witness to the region's industrial past. Last but not least, stop off in Baillou, where the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, a listed historic monument, boasts an exceptional heritage.
