Welcome to Plessis-Dorin, a charming village in the Perche hills, a wooded and hilly area on the borders of Sarthe and Eure-et-Loir, for this small family mountain bike loop around the Boisvinet pond.
A true refuge for biodiversity, the Boisvinet pond is a vast expanse of water, a natural lake of 35 hectares, where fishermen, hikers and nature lovers meet. Currently communal property, its existence goes back to prehistoric times and fishing has been practiced there for centuries.
The ornithological observatory, which is freely accessible, allows you to observe a great diversity of birds all year round: herons, coots, crested grebes, mallards and swans are the main residents.
Its wooded edge, surrounded by meadows and its banks composed of ash, oak, hornbeam and other species, offer a welcoming and shaded setting, suitable for walks, and a cool space very appreciated in hot weather.
