Forêt et vignoble
Between Sologne and Touraine, only 7 kilometres from the ZooParc de Beauval, Noyers-sur-Cher will seduce you with the diversity of its landscapes, its history and its gastronomy. The "Forest and vineyard" circuit will be of particular interest to nature lovers.
Leaving the town of Noyers-sur-Cher, where you can discover the church of Saint-Sylvain, you will soon arrive on the banks of the Berry canal, one of the attractions of the commune. This section of the canal was opened to navigation in 1839. The site of the Noyers lock includes a lock chamber, a bridge over the lock, a lockmaster's house, a port and a fixed bridge at the exit of the bridge. You will pass along and through these different facilities before reaching the vineyard, another asset of the commune. The vineyard extends over 250 hectares, making Noyers one of the largest wine-producing communes in Touraine. Change of landscape at the end of the route with the passage in the forest of Gros Bois where you may see hinds or wild boars.
