Departing from Chitenay, birthplace of Denis Papin (physicist, mathematician and inventor known for his work on the steam engine), this itinerary immerses you in the heart of the "Cheverny" appellation vineyard, produced in the Loir-et-Cher region.
In this area of the wine-growing Sologne, you will discover a diverse, but often privately owned, built heritage: Chitenay castle, Fay castle, Closerie des Papin (Denis Papin's birthplace), Chitenay church for listed monuments, but also estates, farm buildings, tobacco dryers and fountains
The natural heritage is also present on the circuit with the Etang de la Roche.
