Located in the heart of the Loire Valley castles, the town of Fougères-sur-Bièvre will allow you to combine the discovery of its historical, architectural (castle, church, wash house) and natural heritage thanks to its many municipal paths, its wine wealth and its varied landscapes.

In the heart of the castles of the Loire Valley, the circuit of Tarilly will make you discover the town of Fougères-sur-Bièvre, a village located at about fifteen kilometres from Blois.

This 9-kilometre itinerary pleasantly combines historical and natural heritage.

Starting point of the hike, the castle of Fougères-sur-Bièvre was built in the 15th century. Entirely restored and in an excellent state of preservation, it offers the image of a small medieval fortified castle, with a sober and powerful architecture. You can enjoy its medieval-inspired garden crossed by the Bièvre river.

Further north, you will discover in the place called "Montcrochet", the dwelling where Jeanne de France, daughter of Louis XI, lived.
