Sentier Nature et Observatoire à Oiseaux (Châteauvieux et Seigy)
Discover the flora and fauna of the Cher Valley (next to the Espace Naturel Sensible des Prairies du Fouzon): a signposted nature trail with 23 photos at Châteauvieux opposite the town hall, and an ornithological observatory at Seigy (900 m from the Couflons base created by Micromam).
Châteauvieux nature trail: presentation of species specific to the site, viperine snake, amphibian vole, nesting birds or birds of passage, insects, wild orchids... Armed with patience... you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the amphibian vole, a rare species, evolving in the town's streams. An educational mobile, leapfrogs, a giant insect hotel, nesting boxes and an educational beehive have all been installed (information booklet available from OT Sud Val de Loire in Saint-Aignan or from Châteauvieux town hall). Nearby, Balancier Hydraulique.
A bird observatory at Seigy, created by the Micromam Georges ABADIE association, is open to the general public, who are keen to observe the Cher and its multitude of birds. 900 m upstream from the Couflons base near the Cher.
